Scott Sabbagh - Managing Principal
Mr. Sabbagh, is a co-founder and Managing Principal of Matrix Real Estate Advisors, LLC (“MREA”). Prior to founding MREA, Mr. Sabbagh was the managing member of Matrix Development, LLC, a developer of luxury apartments, senior housing and student housing in New York City. Prior to founding Matrix Development, Mr. Sabbagh was the Senior Vice President of Real Estate for Global Crossing, Ltd., where he developed and implemented a restructuring plan for the firm’s 700-property portfolio in 2001. Prior to joining Global Crossing, Mr. Sabbagh was Vice President of Development for Colony Capital LLC., which included the oversight of Colony’s operating partners and management of principal developments undertaken by the firm in the Eastern U.S., Mexico and the Caribbean. Mr. Sabbagh received a B.S. in business administration from the University of Southern California in 1988 and is a graduate of the Entrepreneur Program.

Sean Zalka - Principal
Mr. Zalka is a co-founder and Principal of Matrix Real Estate Advisors, LLC (“MREA”). Prior to co-founding MREA, Mr. Zalka worked at Matrix Development, LLC on the underwriting, planning and financing of the firm’s development projects. Prior to Matrix, Mr. Zalka was the Director of Development for the Downtown Development Group a boutique real estate development and investment partnership focused on the redevelopment of historic properties in Manhattan. Mr. Zalka also spent several years as the Manhattan representative for the National Architectural Trust, where he was responsible for the origination and facilitation of façade conservation easement donations through the Federal Historic Preservation Tax Incentive Program, with a total of approximately $500 million in easements working on over $3 billion worth of property. Mr. Zalka has a B.A. in English Literature from Vassar College and an M.S. in real estate finance (with distinction) from New York University.

Shane Neuringer - Senior Vice President
Mr. Neuringer has nearly 15 years of real estate acquisitions, finance, development and asset management experience and has been involved in over $3 billion worth of residential and commercial acquisitions and development projects, primarily in New York City. Prior to Matrix, Mr. Neuringer held senior positions at firms such as CB Developers (Charles Blaichman), Stellar Management, Rockrose Development and Sentinel Real Estate Corp. Mr. Neuringer holds a M.S. in real estate investment and development from New York University and received his B.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder with concentrations in urban planning & policy and journalism.

Pankil Doshi - VP, Acquisitions
Mr. Doshi is the Vice President in charge of Acquisitions for Matrix Real Estate Advisors, LLC (“MREA”). Prior to joining MREA, Mr. Doshi was the Vice President of Corporate Finance for Colony Capital’s Gaming platform – Resorts International Casinos. Mr. Doshi was involved with all aspects of corporate finance from Acquisitions, Asset Divestitures, HY and CMBS debt financings and Restructurings to Operational Turnarounds. Prior to Colony/Resorts, Mr. Doshi was an Investment Banking Analyst at Wachovia Securities’ Proprietary Trading desk, where he structured Capital Structure Arbitrage trades worth $2 billion as part of a three-person team. Mr. Doshi has a B.A. in Business Administration (Finance) from Emory University and is currently finishing his Executive Management program from Harvard Business School.

C. Jay Byce - VP, Asset Management
Mr. Byce joined Matrix Real Estate Advisors in 2010 and is based in our Atlanta, GA office, where he is responsible for heading Matrix’s asset management operations. Prior to joining Matrix, Mr. Byce managed several bank receiverships as a contractor for the FDIC. His banking career dates back over 11 years with extensive credit training and real estate lending experience, including serving as a Vice President at Regions Bank in Atlanta, GA for 4 years. Mr. Byce has also owned and operated his own bank consulting company in Atlanta, which offered due diligence, M&A and ORE consulting services to regional and community banks. Jay’s experience, however, is not limited just to banking. His companies have joint ventured to build and develop many projects in the Atlanta area ranging from large mixed use residential communities to apartments and convenience stores. Mr. Byce graduated with a B.A. in International Business Finance from the University of Georgia.
