Since 2008, MREA advised institutional investors on the successful acquisition of approximately 150 loans with a total principal balance of approximately $200 million from both the FDIC and large financial institutions. Representative transactions include the April 2009 acquisition of 92 loans on behalf of Colony Capital Inc. with a total unpaid principal balance of approximately $107 million from the failed Haven Trust Bank of Georgia through a competitive FDIC auction process.

MREA is actively pursuing opportunities to acquire and originate commercial real estate loans through quietly marketed and off-market deals sourced through MREA’s extensive banking relationships.
